100 Degrees of Separation

Today, it's -25F in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where many of my friends live.
And it's 85F where I am in Africa.
That's 100 degrees difference.
That's just about how far I feel from good friends right now.

  1. Ahh my Sister,

Love is never out of reach...hug yourself-cause He's that close--putting your arms around yourself is putting your arms around Him...

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me--watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." (Matthew 11:28-30 The Message)

  2. You don't know me, but I'm a Sister In Christ, and I love reading your blog. My prayers are with you today, as it sounds like you are missing your friends greatly. You are doing an amazing work for our Lord, and your blog is so inspiring to a thirsty soul. Thank you.
Psalm 25:16 Turn to me and be gracious to me,for I am lonely and afflicted.
